Pilgrimage Day Ten

Women's Pilgrimage on Ice Age Trail

Being back home at St Peter Slinger, we enjoyed a great dinner, thanks to Ann Hayden, and a good night’s sleep in the Youth Room. We woke to cloudy, misty skies, with a threat of rain. As we headed out for our last day toward Holy Hill, we were filled with gratitude for all who had helped and supported us on this pilgrimage. A pilgrimage, like the spiritual life is very personal, but never private; we could not have accomplished this 140 mile, 10 day pilgrimage without the love, guidance and support of so many. The Ice Age Trail was wet, but soft on our sore feet today, and the rain held off for us. We enjoyed many familiar sights as we walked through Slinger and Pike Lake State Park. We were excited to be so close to Holy Hill, we kept searching the landscape for the steeples to lead us home; just like so many Churches in so many towns, lead the pilgrims, of those towns, home each night, and home to eternity in God. Holy Hill is a special place to us all – Our Lady Help of Christians – Our Blessed Mother is always praying for us, interceding on our behalf, and leading us to Her Son, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As we continue on our pilgrim way in this life, let us all continue to Pray with Mary, Walk with Jesus.

In Jesus’ Most Merciful Love,
