Carmelite Monastery in Denmark, Wisconsin

Day Two.

We were greeted with bright sunshine and a gentle breeze today. We spent the morning with the Totus Tuus camp at St Thomas Apostle RE center; Father Kurz instructed us in the benefits of joyful suffering, we celebrated Mass with the camp, enjoyed a good lunch and then set out for the Monastery of the Holy Name of Jesus, Discalced Carmelite Nuns in Denmark. It was an enjoyable 9 mile walk on country roads and through Nashota Park.

Evening prayer with the Carmelite sisters was inspiring for us all, what a beautiful life they live, we are grateful for their generosity to us and for the prayerful life they live for the Church and the World. Time for a good rest, tomorrow threatens to bring morning thunderstorms – it may be a wet 18 mile walk to St Michael Catholic Church in Whitelaw, WI.

Pray with Mary, Walk with Jesus.

In His Love, Eileen
