On the Kettle Moraine, from Shelter No. 5 to St. Michael’s Chapel to Shelter No. 3
This morning I left from shelter No. 5 in the Kettle Moraine State Forest. The plan was to go from shelter No. 5 to No. 3 with a stop at St. Michael’s Chapel for Mass. Along the way, I was met by Fr. Peter Mitchell and a group of college students from Ball State University. Their presence was very encouraging to me and helped me along the way.
Feeling an especially cold chill in the air, I started thinking about shelter No. 3 being a bad idea, and Fr. Peter Mitchell invited me to share his room at a Bed & Breakfast in New Prospect.
We went out and had a wonderful meal with Fr. Peter and the students. I’m looking forward to having them join me on the walk to St. Mathias tomorrow.
