From The Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help to Saint Thomas the Apostle in Luxemburg
After my three Masses today I began my Pilgrimage, trying to blaze a trail for others to follow which I like to call the Wisconsin Way. I received a blessing with slight delay due to a long confession line at the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Champion, WI. After helping out with confessions Fr. Peter Stryker gave me a fine benediction and sent me on my way.
I was joined by a parishioner, Jim Michiels, and for about 3 or 4 miles a dog named Bella followed along until we got the info off her collar and called the owners a mile before Hwy 54. Bella’s owners safely retreived her but it was nice to have such a friendly companion for those few miles.
We prayed the Rosary along the way and I would like to believe Bella joined us in that as much as a dog could. We arrived in Sugar Bush in time to partake in the annual Belgin Fest called a Kermiss. Now I am going to talk with this year’s Confirmation class about the spirituality of pilgrimage and the importance of praying the Rosary.
Pray with Mary. Walk with Jesus.
